Hello

Why does Teaspeak use high cpu? Today, there were about 200 people on this server and the cpu was always 80%, creating audio lag. TeaSpeak version 1.4.20. Is there a better optimized version that uses less cpu?

Processor : 4x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHz
Ram : 3GB
Swap: 3GB

Show the result of executing the "htop" command on your server.

Well CPU consumption highly depends on the actions the users do.
Here a few examples:
1. 200 Users sitting in AFK doing nothing: 80% Usage is too much
2. 200 Users being spread across multiple servers and a few of them are talking (like in channels with up to 8 persons)
80% sounds a bit too much.
3. 200 Users being in one channel talking to each other 80% isn't that bad than.

As a side note: If your users are using the whisper function a lot you might want to use the 1.5.0 beta since it contains some great whisper improvements.

I found a particular problem with the server shutting itself down. I zip all Teaspeak files from another ip address and transfer the file to another server with wget. Teaspeak then turns itself off automatically after 15 hours at the new ip address. I deleted the Teaspeak server open through YATQA and created a new one. This time there was no problem.
