Can i update teaspeak manually?

Hi guys
I've installed the teaspeak server v1.2.7b, and i want to update to v1.2.8b.
Can i do it manually?
(Like download the new config.yml and replace by the old one?)

Yeah you can do that.

yes you can easily update, if you want to get a new config you can even delete/backup the old one and let a new one generate.
if you want it simple you can just run my script or do it manually by following the tutorial here

You can just download the latest build and overide the files

i do prefer doind this little update manualy (stop server, replace config.yml for the new one and start the server again).

@yamano one of the benefits from using the updatescript is that it will backup the sql database and config for you so if anything goes wrong you can manually roll back. also the error happened to be a user mistake so there are no confirmed errors with updating currently.

Download from here: https://repo.teaspeak.de/server/linux/ - Choose the correct format: amd64 or x86 (64bit or 32bit server!)

Same as you do the upgrade just overide the files

you might have another instance running. Kill all TeaSpeakServer processes and try starting again.
