Server Ban someone that is offline

When i try to ban someone who is online (by right clicking his name) it works normally, but if that person is already logout of the ts and i click on this late (from leaving message for example) and try to ban him, nothing happens. anyone has any hint?

What should happen? In general then a ban record should be added, but that's all
