What about the legality of this program?

I hear from many of my friends that they no longer want to use my teaspeak because this software is supposed to be illegal because it has been copied by Tea*Speak.

Can someone calm me down and maybe explain to me how this project came about? and if the whole program really is completely self-written?

Yes, I can ensure you that Teaspeak is completely self written, as well the web client. It is fully legal and has nothing to do with Tea*Speak. If you're using the Teaspeak server or web client you can't be prosecuted by Tea*Speak
